A contemporary South East Asian inspired restaurant and bar, Mamasan, will take up residency at Liverpool ONE, on Monday 17 May, in line with the Government’s roadmap announcement, and creating more than 50 jobs in the city.
Mamasan’s premium experiential dining concept captures the true essence of modern South East Asia; elevated with the best of Great Britain’s produce from farm, field and sea. Spanning a 6,875 sq ft space, across three-floors, Mamasan restaurant and bar will feature striking interiors, DJs, a vibrant culinary offering, and an expansive panoramic roof terrace.
An exciting addition to thecity’s restaurant scene, Mamasan is led by hospitality entrepreneur Brad Stevens, also founder and creator of Bar Soba, which now operates from five locations in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Leeds, and the rebellious pizza brand, Pizza Punks, with restaurants and an online national delivery range. Liverpool will be Mamasan’s second site, following its debut launch in Glasgow in July 2020, where it quickly became a celebrity hot spot in the city and demand was high, with a three-week wait to get a table.
The 200-cover restaurant and bar will feature an ultra-chic monochrome fit out for the ground level dining space, complete with relaxed booths, marble topped tables and open timber-framed kitchen. A floating floral adorned staircase will span the building, leading up to the mezzanine floor’s social and private dining spaces, and then to the roof top bar; seamlessly evolving from indoor to outdoor dining and drinking. Mamasan’s spirit flows throughout the space, and it will be fitted out with a unique, high caliber sound system that’s inspired by Japanese listening bars.
Mamasan is famed for its fresh and authentic style of cooking, combined with a fierce originality – with all core elements of each dish created in-house and made from scratch; from curry pastes to hand crafting their own coconut cream. Signature dishes on the menu include a starter of Thai Prawn & Chicken Taco, alongside main dishes of Smoked Short Rib of Beef & Bone Marrow Massaman Curry, and Black Miso Cod with pickled radish and ginger. The ‘sides’ on this South East Asian inspired menu are just as appealing, featuring, Loch Fyne Oysters with sour fruit, chilli and lemon, and Singapore Crab Fried Rice.
Brad Stevens, Founder of Mamasan, commented: “Mamasan is a unique concept, which we launched successfully in Glasgow, despite opening in the midst of a global pandemic. Liverpool is absolutely a spot-on destination for the next stage of Mamasan’s journey, we are looking forward to opening to the city with what I feel is a unique South East Asian experiential dining concept. The location of Mamasan Liverpool couldn’t be better, we are in the heart of the city at Liverpool ONE. And when the time is right, we will be announcing our in-house dining events and live music takeovers to the city and beyond. “
Open every day of the week, from early brunching to late night dining and dancing.
